Proxima receives top EdTech award

Proxima has won a top award in the Tools Competition 2024, one of the largest and most competitive EdTech competitions in the world. Proxima was selected as one of only 50 winners from more than 1,900 entries worldwide.

Within our entry, we highlighted evidence showing the huge potential benefits of incorporating approximations of practice – training scenarios for teachers – in initial teacher education. We explained that the teacher educators we have worked with to date typically emphasise the value of approximations, both as a bridge between theory and classroom practice (“This brings the research to life!”), and as a powerful formative assessment tool. We also explained how Proxima’s scenario bank has grown to include a wide range of phase- and subject-specific scenarios that can be used within face-to-face or online training.
